This is the first event of the season for the Cape Cod Windsurfing Association.
The WD40 (West Dennis in 40 minutes) is a downwinder event in which participants
will sail downwind from Kalmus Beach to West Dennis Beach, a distance of approximately
8 miles. In a good breeze this should take about 40 minutes. The event will have a Race Class and
Cruising Class. The race class may have sub-divisions, which will be determined on race day
when all participants are registered. The Cruising Class will be a non-competitive class
for those who don't wish to race but are interested in adding a little adventure
to their list of windsurfing accomplishments.

| Saturday night at Pufferbellies, Route 28 in Hyannis next to Box Car Willies, Fiberspar is hosting the Fiberspar Fiesta starting around 7:00pm and going till midnight or until you can't stand anymore. There will be food and a DJ starting around 8:30pm. | |
| MENU: | Chicken Wings, Sweet and Sour Meatballs, Veggie Platter, Cheese and Crackers, Bread, Salad, and Ziti with meat balls. There will be a cash bar for those who drink. |
| DIRECTIONS: | Route 28 on the left just after the Bass River Bridge on the Yarmouth/Dennis line if you are traveling east, or just before the bridge if you are traveling west. |
| FEE: | This event is free to participants and volunteers to the WD-40 Downwind Classic, and $15 per head before 9:00pm, after that it is open to the public and free to all. |
